Sue Tabor is currently the owner of “OUTDOOR BEGINNINGS” and the State Coordinator for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources “Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program.
Sue’s Background and Experience:
Elected as the Michigan State Representative to the 71st District – 1999-2004
- Chaired the House Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Committee
- Formed and served as Co-Chair the 1st Michigan Legislative Sportsmens Caucus
2001 Legislator of the Year by the Michigan United Conservation Club (MUCC)
2003 Gun Rights Defender Award by the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
2004 Legislator of the Year by the Safari Club International – Flint Chapter
2004 Patriot Award from the U.S. Sportman’s Alliance (USSA)
2006 National Rifle Associations “Marion P. Hammer” Woman of Distinction award
Sue went to work for the National Wild Turkey Federation after serving in the legislature, as the Regional Coordinator for the Women in the Outdoors program.
She also worked as a Promotions Manager for Bass Pro Shops in Macon, Georgia.
Sue currently resides in Lansing, Michigan and has two grown sons. She has a beagle who loves to go rabbit hunting too!
She is a life member of the NRA and also maintains memberships to:

- The U.S. Sportsman’s Alliance
- Michigan Duck Hunters Association
- Michigan Bear Hunters Association
- Delta Waterfowl – Delta Divas Chapter
